Looking at the live cams, we see that the days are short and the nights very long. Snow conquers the former nests of our Gentoos and ice is its mistress. Storms and cold blasts move towards the islands of New Zealand and South Georgia. In the Northern Hemisphere, we deal with hot blasts of 90+ temps and green dominates. Such stark contrasts are beautiful and necessary to prolong life on the planet, but how I do miss our penguins.
So where are our gentle Gentoos? Whatever are they doing at this moment? One can imagine, but take a look at these pictures and known that wherever they are, they spend their days swimming, fishing, and developing relationships... pretty much what we do when we are not busy with responsibilities. Remember them in all things that affect them and hope that they all return safely to the Gars O'Higgins Station in the fall.
