Zenguins!

... then one day, Winston discovered a rock for his nest that he just had to have, but as his beak was not large enough to carry it, Winston felt inadequate. Thus, the first case of "small beak syndrome" came to be known.

Zenguins Are Here!

Today,  I officially begin a new concept in penguin humor. This all began rather innocently with the daily picture upload from the Gars O'Higgins Site, and then it occurred to me that these penguins must be thinking something when these images were snapped. What was that thought? And then two nights ago, it hit me that since I had recently posted my penguins with a rather sanguine humor that bordered on the concept of "zen," then why not call it "Zenguins" instead of that boring "Image of the Day" moniker?

So here begins your daily dose of Zenguins. Hope you like. :-)

(Oh, the business end of things first. I officially copyright the name, "Zenguins," on December 12, 2011. So there.)

"Baby, all this beauty can be yours..."

"Baby. It already is. Hmmph."

"Someone should "Occupy" Antarctica and stop corporate cruises. But then we'd be even more occupied, and preoccupied with the new occupants. Oy."

"See that Stinky? Now THAT'S a light show!"

"Yeah...like a boss!"

"When you really stop to think about the intricacies of life, such as how one must use one's imagination to pretend one is eating squid instead of the same old krill, day in and day out, it boggles the palate, as well as the cerebral cortex."

"Smooth."

"She's staring at me again, Dude."

"Well, she wants what she wants."

"And that would be, little old gorgeous, wonderfully talented, fully brush-tailed me, right?"

"No, dude. She wants you to go steal a rock for her."

"Oh. *Sigh* Reality sucks"

"Like a Leopard Seal."

"Who do you think you were in a past life?"

"Picasso Penguin."

"Why is that?"

"Because, my mate says that I can make a mess of the ground better than anyone."

"Ah."

"Speaking of which, I'm pooped; let's go roost."

"You ever get the feeling we're living in a cosmic wormhole like Bill Murray in "Ground Hog's Day?"

"Yeah. Like I even feel I've  lived here before."

*groans* "Nevermind."

We have a cam out, but everything seems to be moving along. Lots of hens on the nest, it seems.
